Citizen Earth Watch: CEW High School STEM ED Program

Our CEW High School STEM ED Program focuses on environmental education.  Hands-on learning sparks student-interest in STEM.  Students connect with their communities and the STEM Pioneers that serve. The project empowers students to develop solutions to local environmental challenges.

OUR MISSION IS TO 1. INCREASE STEM-FOCUSED CANDIDATES FOR THE JOB MARKET 2. RETAIN SUPPORT OF THE STEM POOL WITH STEM-PIONEER INVOLVEMENT 3. RAISE AWARENESS OF THE NEED FOR STEM IN THE UNITED STATES

Program Insert 1:  Water Quality Index (WQI)

THE WATER QUALITY PROJECT 1. Provides everything they need to learn about water quality issues 2. Prompts students to field test the local freshwater Water Quality Index 3. Asks students to define a local water problem 4. Solve and Address it 5. Incorporates engineering and design 6. Meets Common Core Standards 7. Meets Next Generation Standards
